Great Tythe Barn Cotswold Wedding – Rachel & Steve

Rachel and Steve’s Great Tythe Barn wedding is one that will live long in my mind for two reasons; the first is that it was an absolutely fantastic day with two people that were clearly completely and utterly in love with other, the second reason is that it was the first wedding I shot in my new role as a dad (my son Oli was born just 24 hours before their big day!).

I’d actually met Rachel and Steve (and Max the dog!) a little earlier in the year at Westonbirt Arboretum for their pre-wedding shoot.  They were complete naturals in front of the camera and we got lots of fab shots during our walk around the woods.

When the big day arrived in October there were a few drizzly clouds in the sky but the grey clouds did nothing to stop the excitement of these two.  Thankfully, the raindrops cleared for long enough for us to get outside to see the gorgeous autumnal colours that the Great Tythe Barn has to offer in October.

Despite Steve sustaining a nasty sports injury to his leg just before the wedding, he still managed to party on the dancefloor later in the evening (I’m sure a few beers helped numb the pain!).
